Janine shared in our entire wedding day while capturing both elegant and candid moments beginning at the hair salon and ending at the reception. We appreciated Janine‘s style of photography. We searched for months for a photographer for our wedding with not much success. When we finally found one, he was already booked on our wedding day. “GREAT” back to square one, but he suggested we try Janine, what a great choice. Janine took some amazing pictures and the best part was her relaxed style that made everyone feel comfortable and enjoy getting their picture taken. She also, has a nack for taking natural photos, not pictures where people are told how to pose or how to sit. Having Janine take our wedding pictures was a very smart move on our part. As our pictures came out fantastic. And it was one less thing to worry about. We would recommend Janine to anyone, as she made our wedding day one to remember. When planning our wedding my husband John was not a big fan of pictures. The last thing he wanted to do on his wedding day was stand around for hours posing for pictures that looked fake. His idea of wedding pictures was to collect snapshots from family and friends who attended the wedding. Friends of ours had their wedding pictures done by Janine and when John saw them he actually like them! He said they were the coolest and nicest wedding pictures he had ever seen because they did not look fake, posed, or unnatural. We took a chance and proposed to Janine driving down to Minnesota to shoot our wedding. She accepted! Through all of our phone, email, and written correspondences Janine was professional, helpful, and warm. The wedding weekend was a blur and the actual day went by much too quickly. The pictures were painless and were actually quite fun. Janine thought of everything right down to having the hairspray to tame our wayward hairs in the strong wind. In the end our pictures turned out great. John and I beam every time we look through the album because it brings back so many great memories. Janine did not just create a book of who was at our wedding; she caught moments and emotions. When we look at our pictures we can relive the best day of our lives. What we liked best about Janine’s work is her style. We liked that our pictures were not posed or forced; instead Janine captured feelings, moments, experiences, and memories as they really were. Our wedding pictures are not a record of how Janine saw our day, but rather of how we experienced our day. If I had to do it all over again I would change a few things. I wish I had made a list of the posed pictures that I considered “necessary”. I figured it would all fall into place, but the wedding day was hectic and I regret not having photos with a few important people and of a few special shots. Also, I would make sure that I gave our group more time for photos. We ran out of time and the pictures right before the wedding were rushed and did not turn out as nice as those that were taken in a more calm setting. If I had to do it all over again, which after seeing the great pictures I wish I could, I would hire Janine in a minute. Any time I want to relive our wedding day, I look at our pictures and I get that same excited feeling down in my soul as the day we were married! Erin and John Pepelnjak September 25, 2004

From the moment we first met Janine we just felt that we needed to book her on the spot, as we felt so sure that she would do a great job of capturing our special day. We were definitely not disappointed. We had so much fun with Janine on our wedding day, she made us feel so comfortable and at ease. She is open to any suggestions or ideas that you may have, but she also has a wonderful knack for going with the flow and her creativity and spontaneity definitely shine through in her photographs. The reason we chose Janine was that we were having a casual, outdoor wedding that was intended to be fun, not formal, so we wanted a young and enthusiastic photographer to match. Janine went out of her way to avoid adding to the stress of the day by working very independantly, actually listening to what we wanted, as well as suggesting things that she knew from her experience. Leading up to our wedding day she was always in touch with us and was very well prepared on the actual day, having scouted out the venue the day before (out of town!). I know that the bridal party was glad to have a female with them during the prep before the ceremony and the groom's side enjoyed her sense of humour and professional attitude. My step-father and one of my groomsmen are professional photographers and both were impressed as well. The photographs were delivered promptly as promised and were wonderfully packaged and looked terrific. Book her early, as she will most likely be more and more difficult to reserve with word-of-mouth after each wedding she does.

My husband and I were married on May 3, 2003. We met with Janine, and were immediately impressed with her. We love our photos, and still look at them with great joy and pride today. Take the time to introduce your photographer to your bridal party, your families, and that way if you forget to include someone in a pic, she may be able to guide you amidst all the excitement. I have employed Janine on contract events at my place of employment as well. Those results were spectatcular as well.

I first met Janine when she photographed my friend’s wedding. After seeing her in action and seeing the final result, I knew she would do a wonderful job of our wedding. Even though I was planning our wedding from Alberta, Janine was always available and made the whole process stress free. We were really impressed with how professional, creative and patient she was, even the rainy weather didn’t faze her!!
